Know God’s Ways & Character

And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.”
—John 14:29

This verse was an overview of Jesus’ upcoming death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. The disciples needed to hear from Him beforehand so they might believe after “it is come to pass” … then they would be confirmed and strengthened to continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which they have heard… (Colossians 1:23).

NOW, HERE IS ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE—
Has this ever happened to you? The Lord told you about something that will come to pass but you struggled to believe it, at first? And then, the next thing you knew, it came about exactly as He said—then you believed? He is like that to help us realize we will not always know upfront He is, in fact, the one speaking. That is why it is so important for us to know His ways AND character.

That’s right! We know, God is the same both yesterday, today and forever. Simply put, HE CANNOT CHANGE! His ways and character are spelled out in scriptures. God’s ways and character are revealed to those who believeth on Him and keep His word. By His grace through His appointed pastors and pulpit leaders, we are taught to know and understand Him, His ways and character along with how to live holy, and, how to be prepared for the rapture.

If we know these things with an honest and good heart, we will be in the position to take from full advantage to full discernment of the knowledge of God (according to scriptures) to the next level of trust and confidence in WHAT HE SAID. We know God’s ways and character because we believe on Him AND keep His word as His disciples in our focus verse (above).

ONE MORE PERSPECTIVE—
The Lord showed you in details how to make a simple repair that was in your eyes a major situation … from very difficult to impossible to put back together. But, you did not know at the time He gave the instruction until it was over. Why? Because you had a tough time believing it would work.

Nevertheless, you followed the instruction and “voila” problem solved. The exact details of what God showed you came to pass and in the same order. Surprised? Don’t be! The Lord Jesus Christ makes life’s challenges easy to endure for those who take His yoke and learn of Him—and truly trust in Him. Ah, “be careful for nothing” right?

Who do YOU trust?!

Be blessed!
