Hello, Friends. Many in Christendom think they know the Lord … but their real view of Him is at best shallow because of what they do know of Him is not according to His spoken and written word presented by His originally inspired writers.
Please be mindful that, God’s Church is built upon the foundation of the apostles, prophets, and Jesus Christ Himself the Chief Cornerstone. When Jesus and the apostles spoke, many times they referred to — what Moses and the prophets wrote….
Jesus said …have ye never read? Paul and the other apostles and writers quoted and wrote what Jesus spoke, and what Moses and the prophets wrote. Jesus also said …that the scriptures might be fulfilled…. Jesus and the apostles spoke the same things which were written by Moses and the prophets who wrote the word of God as they were inspired by the Word of God. The apostles, Mark and Luke also wrote the word of God as they were inspired by the Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The word “inspired” means, “divinely breathed in, and prompted by God” … it refers to what God said to each writer to publish….
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” — John 1:1-2
Today, we write and speak the same things Jesus Christ (The Word) spoke — Moses, the prophets, the apostles, and Mark and Luke wrote. If anyone speaks or writes contrary to what is already spoken and written (by God through His inspired speakers and writers) they present another gospel — and are accursed (doomed to destruction) — they are devoted to the direst of woes.
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” — Galatians 1:8-10
Denominations are built upon the foundation of the angel of light with his strange leaders who are bound by the high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God — they preach and teach other gospels which are foreign messages….
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” — 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
Which foundation are you built upon? Is it the word of God from the Word of God through the pastor and leadership He gave you, or, is it the word of strangers with foreign messages? Is your pastor and leadership building upon the foundation God already laid, or are they building upon a self-proclaimed, man-made foundation enticed by the angel of light?
“According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 3:10-11
Folks, we cannot overemphasize the point of truth that concerns who and what the Church of the Living God is built upon! God said through His inspired writer Paul … “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” — Ephesians 4:4-6
Jesus dwells in the heart by faith; and faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Ephesians 3:17; Romans 10:17). If anyone believes that there are many faiths, they are an unbeliever. If anyone believes in denominations, they are an unbeliever. If anyone builds a church upon any other foundation than that is laid already, they are an unbeliever … Jesus does not dwell in the heart of any unbeliever.
But, for those who believeth in Jesus, and continueth in His word, are His disciples who know the truth and are made free (by Him) to live by truth and bless Him — for He and His word is truth….
